How to join the NZSA

Student Member

In order to become an Student Member of the NZSA you have to achieve the Student designation with another actuarial body that is a Recognised Overseas Actuarial Body.  Send us your completed membership application form. Remember you will need to get a Fellow to endorse your application.  If you don’t know any Fellows, you can speak to an actuary in order to get an endorsement.

Associate Member

In order to become an Associate of the NZSA you have to achieve the Associate designation with another actuarial body that is a Recognised Overseas Actuarial Body or a Fellowship designation with another actuarial body that is a full member of the International Actuarial Association.

Send us your completed membership application form. Remember you will need to get a NZSA Fellow to endorse your application.

Fellow Member

In order to become a Fellow of the NZSA you must either be a Fellow of a Recognised Overseas Actuarial Body or a Fellow of another actuarial body which is a Full Member of the International Actuarial Association and have met, in the opinion of Council, the requirements set out by Council from time to time. How long does it take?

Applications may take up to six weeks to process.  If your application is successful you will receive an invoice for an annual subscription (or part thereof).  Your membership begins upon receipt of payment of the annual subscription.  To see the subscription fees you have go here
