Record keeping
You will need to keep a record of your CPD to monitor your progress in meeting the CPD requirement. The Society, or other actuarial professional bodies to whom you belong, may ask for a copy of this as evidence of your compliance with CPD requirements.
A template that could be used to record CPD is provided as Appendix A of PS10, however it is noted that it does not allow for the recording of “core” CPD hours. A spreadsheet template which has been developed by the Professional Development Committee including this, is attached CPD Template and may be useful for some members and/or as a guide to the level of detail required.
Audit of CPD
It is important that the NZSA can provide assurance to regulators and other external stakeholders (such as employers and clients) that NZSA, as a professional organisation, takes CPD seriously, and that our members are held to a high standard.
The Professional Development Committee will carries out an audit of CPD compliance on an annual basis. A random selection of members will be required to provide their CPD records to the Committee to confirm compliance.
