If you live and work in New Zealand
Actuaries Institute – A member of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia who is also a member of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries and is residing and practicing in New Zealand and who satisfies the CPD requirements of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries will be deemed to have satisfied the CPD requirements of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
Institute and Faculty of Actuaries – A member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) will (in most cases) be required to also satisfy the requirements of the IFoA CPD scheme, including the requirement for a Reflective Practice Discussion. There is no longer an exemption for members of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries.

If you live and work outside of New Zealand
You will be deemed to have satisfied the requirements of PS10 if:
- you reside and practice in Australia and satisfy the CPD requirements of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
- you reside and practice in Canada and satisfy the CPD requirements of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries or
- you reside and practice in the United Kingdom and satisfy the CPD requirements of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
The Society at its discretion may enter into agreements with Members who are residing and practicing outside of New Zealand, and not in Australia, Canada or the United Kingdom, who satisfy the CPD requirements of the Actuarial body in the country in which that Member is residing and practicing to be deemed to satisfy the requirements of this Professional Standard.
