About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Pricing Lead to join our Pricing and Analytics team. This is a newly created role for a high calibre individual who excels in technical expertise and leverages their business acumen to develop and execute pricing initiatives.
You will lead and implement high-quality pricing solutions using advanced modelling techniques, identify actionable insight to support and influence key decision making and drive financial performance for the Society.
Key responsibilities:
•Lead, drive and deliver pricing initiatives, such as develop pricing strategies, financial analysis for benefit reviews etc to support financial stability
•Conduct regular price reviews for individual and group segments to ensure alignment with our pricing strategy
•Lead and manage the day-to-day workflow of our pricing implementation function with supports of analysts, to ensure on time delivery of high-quality pricing advice
•Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of complex statistical machine learning models, ensure the ongoing efficacy of the models for its purpose
•Provide analytical and technical mentorship, advice and coaching for other pricing analysts.
About you:
•You are a passionate and curious individual with a thirst for knowledge and growth. Ideally you will also have:
•8+ years analytical work experience in insurance or consulting sector e.g. statistical modelling, Actuarial pricing
•A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline; i.e Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial, etc
•Proven experience in a wide variety of pricing related projects
•Actuarial qualification desirable
•Strong programming and coding skills in one or more statistical modelling packages, preferably in R
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
•Ability to effectively coach and mentor other members of the team, enabling delivery of best practice analysis and communication of insights to customers.
