We have updated our policy on Non-Practising Status (NPS) for members to align with changes to the Constitution made in 2023.

Please see the NPS section within the Membership Policy here, and information in the FAQ here.

Members may elect to hold NPS as a Fellow, Associate, Student or Life Member. If you are an Affiliate, you must hold NPS.

The Policy requires that:

  1. Members who are in the Affiliate category must declare NPS applies to them on application to join the Society and at each membership renewal.
  2. Members who are not Affiliates may declare NPS at any time, and at each subsequent membership renewal may confirm NPS status if still applicable.
  3. Any Member who has declared NPS must contact the Society to remove that declaration as soon as it ceases to apply.
