There are three main types of membership of the NZSA. Each membership corresponds to the education level you have achieved.
In addition, we also offer Affiliate membership which is for professionals who share an affinity with the actuarial profession, or who work alongside actuaries, and who want to be part of the actuarial community in New Zealand. It is also an option for any member who are no longer using technical actuarial skills.
How to join
Joining the NZSA is quick and easy!
- Choose the membership category that best fits from the options above
- Complete our membership form
- Email the form to societies@actuaries.org.nz with subject line: New Member Application [your name]
- We will be in touch within a few days to confirm receipt of your membership application form.
How long does it take?
We will process your application as soon as we receive it. Provided all information is complete, applications may take 2-3 weeks to process. Once your application is approved you will receive an invoice for a joining fee and annual subscription (or part thereof). Your membership begins upon receipt of payment of the annual subscription.
