Call for Nominations – NZSA Council Member

Dear members

As many of you will know, Scott Lewis’ term as Immediate Past President on the NZSA Council concludes this November. Scott has contributed immensely to our profession over many years and played a key role in shaping a strong future for NZSA. We thank him sincerely for his service and leadership. With Scott’s tenure coming to an end, we are now calling for nominations to fill one General Council Member position at our upcoming AGM.

This is a valuable opportunity to:

  • Strengthen the Council through additional contribution and value
  • Enhance diversity of thought and representation across our membership
  • Support succession planning within the organisation.

Eligibility: Any Voting Member may be nominated. Voting Members are Fellows and Associates of the NZSA who are ordinarily resident in New Zealand.
Term and Commitment: The General Council Member serves a renewable 2-year term and is expected to attend 7–8 Council meetings annually, plus the AGM. Further details about responsibilities can be found in the General Council Member position description.
How to Nominate: Please submit your nomination using the Nomination Form and email to the secretariat.
Deadline: Nominations must be received by 2pm on Friday, 24 October 2025. If an election is required, voting materials will be distributed the following week.

We encourage all eligible members to consider contributing to the future direction of NZSA through this important governance role.

Ngā mihi nui,
